In 1982 there three Total Lunar Eclipse, also called a Blood Moon.

  • Tuesday, July 6 at 3:32 a.m.
  • Thursday, December 30 at 6:29 a.m.

Only the July Lunar Eclipse was visible in North America because the others occurred during daylight hours.

1982 Supermoons

The closest full moon of 1982 was the December Full Moon on Thursday, December 30 at 6:32 a.m. While there isn’t an official defintion of a supermoon, the full moons in January, November, and December were considered supermoons based on their distance from the earth.
